Newark Liberty International Airport: Newark, NJ (EWR) Remove it all. Laptops, shoes, liquids TSA Pre-check travellers can keep shoes and light jacket on through security
Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport: Atlanta, GA (ATL) If you are in the main security you have to remove shoes, coat, laptop and liquids. TSA pre-check means keeping shoes, jacket AND laptop/liquids in your bag. Cool service that enables passengers to see wait times for security:
Portland International Airport: Portland, OR (PDX) Big belts, studs/metal buttons, excessive jewelry, can set off security checkpoint metal detectors. It is best to place items in your carry-on baggage until you clear security.

Outer Coats
Coats: carry-on baggage or bin but no need removing suit jackets or blazers unless requested by the screener.

Shoe Screening
Have to kick off the kicks. Gel shoe inserts are not permitted (shoes with gel heels are allowed);(except if you are 12 & younger or 75 or older).

Current TSA Rules:You are allowed to bring a quart-sized bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and pastes in your carry-on bag and through the checkpoint. These are limited to 3.4 oz (100 ML) or less per item. Placing these items in the small bag separate from your carry-on baggage facilitates the screening process. Pack items larger than 3.4 oz or 100 ML in checked baggage. Any liquid, aerosol, gel, cream or paste that alarms during screening will require additional screening.
